1. Frank Hülsbömer
Using photography as his medium, artist Frank Hülsbömer documents his love affair with objects. The upshot, beautifully-composed, abstract images of various items like colored paper and wire, star in his forthcoming book, The Fiction of Science, along with a detailed explanation of the Berlin-based photographer's both scientific and artistic approach to capturing each article.
A former contributor to Wallpaper Magazine, Hülsbömer made a name for himself photographing exteriors. Applying his studious method to interiors, the lyrical images in his book show how the shift brings an intense concentration on pure form to his work.
Described by curator Matthias Harder as "still lifes," Hülsbömer compositions exclude all signals of a human touch and any reference to landscapes, with minimal acknowledgment of the photographic element. His undoctored, multi-faceted photos make for, as he puts it, "a neutralisation of the senses."
2. Kristian Jones
His style preys on the innocence of childhood imagination, surreal worlds and fictional creatures.
3. Yelena Yemchuk
Yelena Yemchuk (born April 22, 1970) is a professional photographer, painter and film director, best known for her work with The Smashing Pumpkins. Born in Kiev (Kyiv), Ukraine, her family moved to Brooklyn, New York when Yelena was in her early teens.
Yemchuk directed or co-directed the videos for "Zero" and "Thirty-Three". In addition, she handled art direction for the Adore album and its related singles. Her photographs appear in the "Zero" EP, the The Aeroplane Flies High box set, and the Rotten Apples compilation. She received an art direction credit for the 2000 Smashing Pumpkins album Machina/The Machines of God, and appeared in the video for the song "Stand Inside Your Love". She also provided the photography for albums by Savage Garden and Rufus Wainwright. Her fashion photography is featured in the September 2010 Urban Outfitters catalog.
She has exhibited her paintings at the Dactyl Foundation. Her paintings "displays her uniquely surrealist approach to art with satiric storytelling and undeniable Eastern European influences".
Her current focus on fashion photography began in 2001. Since then, Yemchuk has contributed to Italian and Japanese Vogue, the New Yorker and W, and has shot advertising campaigns for Kenzo, Cacharel and Dries Van Noten.

5. Method Man Sour Patch Kids Rap - World Gone Sour
The Gremlins, The Smurfs and creepy little pipsqueaks of all persuasions have nothing on The Sour Patch Kids, whose true personality comes out in Method Man's latest music video, for his single "World Gone Sour (The Lost Kids)," created and produced out of Mother New York. Directed by Hungry Man's Taika Waititi, the clip reveals what happens when Sour Patch Kids don't fulfill their destiny of being eaten, perhaps relegated to the gap in your couch cushions or trapped beneath the floorboards.
The music video is just one part of Mother's new campaign for the kids, which later this year will debut the upcoming Sour Patch Kids video game, "World Gone Sour." Created for multiple consoles, players shrink down to candy size and battle the deranged candy kids who wreak all sorts of havoc like Gizmo on water. Fans can check into the Sour Patch Kids Facebook page for updates on the upcoming game.
