Spider is a 9-minute action-thriller that gives an all-new meaning to old Peugeots, stunning blondes and love-jokes. The movie, written by Nash Edgerton and David Michod and soundtracked for the occasion by Australian singer-songwriter Ben Lee, was shot on location in Sydney and features in the cast Nash himself (as Jack) and rising star of the Australian film scene Mirrah Foulkes (as Jill). Just remember: it’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

3. Antonella Arismendi

Info:
Passionate about film and story telling, this little lady from the mid eighties grew up with barbies, twin peaks and the ghosts of Raota, which adorn the hallways of her home to this very day. Her influences converge in a magical fusion of technique, sensuality and mystique which have defined her artistic persona. Captivating by nature, Antonella plans to blow up everything, at least that's what her natal chart says.

6. Brett Manning

Brett On Brett:

Chicago based artist and illustrator, available for commissions, gallery shows, etc.

I love to draw and I draw what I love. My work reflects my personality and the things that are most meaningful and sentimental to me. Man-made vs. Nature and the connection of all living things are common themes I enjoy illustrating. Combining that with my passion for texture, balance, pattern, fashion, and femininity, my work can become quite surreal and dream-like. Charming juxtapositions and fantastical, sometimes made up symbolism and allusions dwell within most of my art, but telling a story though my work is not a high priority, rather I find it more interesting when the viewer creates their own meaning. It is also not my intention to create an exact likeness, rather, while drawing a portrait, I try to capture their essence, what I believe to be his or her most pure, and enlightened, even awkward form, none the less, beautiful. Drawing is very spiritual and meditative for me, and when I am creating, I feel calm and at one with my surroundings, specifically with the art work, thus it becomes part of me, almost like a view into my brain at any specific moment, and strangely autobiographical. Speaking only the truth is what I long for. Nowhere in any of my pieces will one ever find a shard of falsehood. Relying purely on intuition and self, I create artworks which scratch at your senses, force you to think, and ultimately help you locate a piece of yourself which you never knew existed. It's something deep within your brain, completely primitive and visceral, but intentionally universal; love and rhythm.

... It’s pretty simple…. But very complex…. And completely absurd.

I also love coffee, chocolate, cats, and 1960’s tunes. Visit my Flickr and my Blog!

8. Stone on Stone [CLIP]

2009, 7 minutes 44 seconds
1080 x 1080 pixel digital video projection
B&W/C olor/Sound
(Clip taken from the 3rd to 6th minute)

“Stone On Stone” is a stop-motion video animation that uses the architectural language of High Gothic and Modernism to invent a contradictory history of their evolvement. The theme starts and finishes with the vast and unfinished Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, NYC. It is contrasted with Le Corbusier’s La Tourette monastery in France, competed in 1960. The video uses this anomalous but single-minded architectural vision as the foundation for a new emergence of Gothic religious expression, resulting in a complete and unified fantasy cathedral – akin to the building that the Church of Saint John might have aspired to be.
